The Very First Role Of Film

To start with, here are a few shots I took in New York City.

These guys were just a small jazz trio playing some music. They weren't actually there when I sat down originally, they turned up about half an hour after I decided I couldn't be bothered to walk around looking for something to take a photo of (yes I am that amateur). There were a few people with kids about so they played jazz versions of kids songs. The bassist was doing a fair amount of singing. Apparently they are in that area pretty regularly.

These two chaps were shooting some film explaining the principals of this game, which to me looked like kicking a hackey sack. But it was more of a shuttle cock than anything. They had quite a few rallies going. The third guy occasionally took part but mostly just filmed.

This shot of the sky and buildings was just a random one. I just happened to look up and take the picture. I was just sitting there eating lunch and thought it looked kind of cool. Much like the next one, I was just lucky.

I have no idea how I managed to get this photo to look like this. It was pretty dark inside the museum.

Right. Here goes.

Hello there,

This is my first narcissistic foray into the blogosphere. Other than what follows in the next paragraph and the little blurb on the side of the page, I have little intention of of babbling on about myself. I'm just using the free space for photos.

I have only recently begun to dabble in photography, mostly due to the fact that I have little else to do. For those who are interested, the camera I use is an Olympus OM-1. I have small array of lenses from 35mm going up to 200mm. What follows will be a very amateur attempt at some vaguely interesting photos of various bits and bobs. I do actually own a digital camera as well. But I have only had that short time too. I will probably throw in a couple of shots I have taken using that as well.

Enjoy. Or not.
